- Title
- The Tuning of the Sky
- Year
- 1978
- Instrumentation
- Carillon
- Notes
- Commissioned by the University of California, Berkeley, for the dedication of the 61-bell carillon in Sather Tower. The title is a reference to the historic concept of the "harmony of the spheres"
— that the planets, in their orbits and rotations, were "vibrating"
in harmonic ratios. There are many such references in the titles
of Felciano’s music: Hymn of the Universe, Cosmic Festival, God of the Expanding Universe, Galactic Rounds.
