Notes: Commissioned by the Stony Brook Chamber Players. The work moves from blurred obscurity to perceptual clarity, from the closed to the open. The beginning sections begin with opaque murmuring and end with half step clusters, difficult to pinpoint. The piece then moves towards the acoustic opposite: the pure and open fifth, finishing with serenely overlapping canons.
