Chamber Opera in two acts.

Libretto by Robert Fahrner after the anonymous fourteenth-century poem of the same name; duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes. Winner of the Fromm Foundation Prize, Aspen Music Festival. Fahrner was able to carry the alliteration of the original poem into the libretto in such a way that the word choice became a powerful tool for characterization.
